Exploring Your Community and Your World with a GIS (Geographic Information System)
Examine population change and characteristics, natural hazards, landforms, watersheds, weird and fascinating places, and much more using 2D and 3D Web (www.arcgis.com) and Desktop GIS (www.esri.com/arcgis). In this free, engaging, hands-on session, discover how you can analyze 21st Century issues, build key workforce skills, engage students in inquiry, hyperlink maps to images and video, map your own field-collected data, create map-based live presentations, and save and share your maps and investigations with others.
