COST: $50 registration fee – Participants will be awarded a certificate for 30 CDE hours upon successful completion of their course or may register for 2 graduate credits from Adams State College for an additional $110.
eNetColorado Intel Teach Elements Courses begin January 11th (Winter Session)
Time Requirement: 6 weeks/ approximately 30 clock hours – These “blended-learning” courses will include up to 6 hours on-line web conferencing components and an on-line facilitated course that will include interactive tutorials, exercises, individual work, and facilitated discussions.
● Elements-Assessment in 21st Century Classrooms, an interactive e-learning experience, offers an in-depth look at assessment that meets the needs of 21st century teaching and learning. Teachers see how assessment strategies can benefit their teaching practices and their students’ learning. Learn how to plan, develop, and manage student-centered assessment.
● Elements-Collaboration in the Digital Classroom, an interactive e-learning experience, offers an in-depth look at collaboration with a focus on online collaborative tools. Teachers see how collaboration helps students develop 21st century thinking skills, deepens content understanding, and prepares them for the global world.
● NEW COURSE -Using Cell Phones as Learning Tools in the Classroom, an interactive e-learning course, helps educators learn how even the most basic cell phones can be used as powerful tools for teaching and learning. When integrated with free, web-based tools and resources, cell phones offer students and teacher the ability to share ideas through activities such as blogging, podcasting, and data gathering. While there are many legitimate concerns about using cell phones in schools, it is important that schools prepare students for success in a world overflowing with information. It is also important for students to learn how to use technology ethically and responsibly. This course highlights meaningful ways that cell phones can be used as learning tools in and out of the classroom, while also addressing the challenges and resistance that many educators face when trying to integrate cell phones into learning activities.
eNetColorado Thinkfinity Courses start on February 1 (Winter Session)
Time Requirement: 3 weeks/ approximately 30 clock hours.
● Thinkfinity Online for Colorado Teachers, a 3-week online course, introduces educators to Thinkfinity online educational resources and how to integrate them effectively into instructional activities to support student learning. This course is a great introduction to online professional development.
● Colorado Thinkfinity Master Trainers , a 3-week online course intended for any Colorado Educator who is interested in training others in their district/school to locate and integrate Thinkfinity resources. Pre-requisites: Thinkfinity Online for Colorado Teachers.
