On May 31st, over 70 Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind teachers and instructional staff learned about eNetColorado’s professional development courses, the DREAM resource and about how to use Moodle, a learning management system.  The teachers were guided in how the DREAM (Digital Resource Exchange and Marketplace) could benefit and support their teaching.  DREAM provides a secure place for searching, creating and incorporating high quality lessons tied to the Colorado Academic Standards and Common Core Standards and allows teachers to create activities that can be rated and used by teachers across the state and country.  DREAM provides free instructional resources from various providers and organizations that are working with eNetColorado.  Some of the collections available include Khan Academy, PhET simulations from the University of Colorado, America Museum of Natura History, NASA, Smithsonian Education, and Colorado Lessons on Local Government from the Colorado Municipal League.  Teachers can signup for a free DREAM account at: eNetColorado DREAM

Dan Morris, Jane Brown and Carolyn Gardner shared eNetColorado’s vision of providing high quality courses, resources, and training for all teachers in the state of Colorado.  The School for Deaf and Blind staff learned about the free and low cost opportunities that eNetColorado currently provides as well as what is being planned for this fall.  eNetColorado has numerous online courses which are available and college credit can be obtained from Adams State University .  More courses are being developed and will be offered this fall.  The teachers were excited to learn all about what eNetColorado can offer. (Graduate level courses, DREAM, Colorado iTunes University, Adobe Connect web conferencing, face-to-face trainings, and additional professional development)

If you would like  to learn more about what eNetColorado can provide for your school district, please contact us by going to http://www.enetcolorado.org or emailing  danmorris@enetcolorado.org
